What is so special on the Mandevilla ‘Bella Red’? Looking at the picture out of summer 2025 I would say the flower-power!
The features of a ‘Bella Red’ is:
- rather small foliage
- enormous bud count
- great color
- not es early flowering as other ‘Bella’ varieties
The later flowering in production can be a advantage when it comes to the point of availability in later weeks!
Looking at the picture out of my garden, Mandevilla ‘Bella Red’ is a must have. This variety is great in pyramids, small racks and 14cm pots.
‘Bella Pink 2019’
The ‘Bella Pink 2019’ is one of the most reliable varieties in production and in the garden.
A perfect bud count turns out in overwhelming flower power!
The impressive flower is great in combinations as well.
‘Bella Pink 2019’ good for big as well
Beside smaller products, ‘Bella Pink 2019’ is doing a great job in solitaire products . In pyramids and racks they make a geat show all summer long.
Big flowers on ‘Bella Magma’
‘Bella Magma’ has beautiful, bright shining and big flowers. The habbit is medium compact and this variety stays pretty compact also during summer. The picture below shows a ‘Bella Magma’ in my garden.
In production a very universal variety which makes good plants from 11 – 14cm pot and also in all kind of bigger sizes. ‘Bella Magma’ is outstanding because of the big flower.
‘Red Bolero’
With Mandevilla ‘Red Bolero’ Kientzler provides a slightly darker red and a very nice cultivar in the group of compact types. The big advantange of the ‘Bella Red Bolero’ is the low impact on labor for pinching and triming!

Well, in this case we have been in our garden pretty ahead of ‘Pantone’s’ selection.
