Helianthus ‘SunCatcher’ rooting update

We would like to give you an update how fast is rooting of the Helianthus ‘SunCatcher’. In our last post we showed  pics from  fresh stuck cuttings of the Helianthus ‘SunCatcher’.

We started end of week 05 sticking in a  1″ Jiffy 7 Pellet-Pack 104 cell tray.

Only 10 days later  you can see on the below pictures how fast the ‘SunCathcher’ is starting to root.

The liners in the 104 Jiffy Pallet Pack have been ready to transplant in a 6″ pot after 17 days. See below.

The cuttings have been rooted in a tent with plastic cover. HPS lamps for 9 hours from 8am until 5 pm because of low light conditions here in the north of Germany in January and February.

No rooting hormon, fungicide drenches or anything else have been needed.

Unrooted cuttings can be purchased via Kientzler North America and their brokers. Here you find the availabile numbers for URC

In case of questions, do not hessitate to contact us or check out our various post of the ‘SunCatcher’.
